Thunderheader Touring Designed to give maximum horsepower without sacrificing low-end torque 2-into-1 systems with patented collector design that directs spent exhaust gases in a spiral motion through four acoustical damping chambers Exhaust travels through these chambers at high velocity to scavenge spent exhaust gases from the combustion chamber and bring in a fresh charge of air/fuel mixture Anti-reversion design works to impede reverse flow through the system -- reverse flow can contaminate the incoming fuel/air mixture, which reduces performance and throttle response As reverse flow enters the collector, the diffuser deflects it through vents; the pyramidal trap and apertures impede the reverse flow, allowing time for the exhaust valve to close Flow director has equal area at each end, allowing exhaust gases to travel at a constant velocity over the entire length to improve exhaust scavenging Includes a set of full-coverage heat shields Current lead time is up to 16 weeks on all Thunderheader Racing Products, we do not stock them. Thunderheader X Series The new THUNDERHEADER X-SERIES for Touring is our large diameter exhaust specifically designed for big cubic inch engines (107" and larger), built to produce big numbers. The X-SERIES is designed with 2" primary tubes with a 14 degree transition chamber to allow more exhaust flow. Our unique patented baffle in conjunction with our trademark tail cone is designed to allow a free flowing exhaust while creating a anti reversion condition in the pipe which will aid the air/fuel flow on the intake stroke to allow more fuel into the combustion chamber. This means more torque at the low & mid RPM ranges and maximum horsepower at top end. The X-SERIES comes complete with heat shields and all mounting hardware. Horsepower Inc Exhaust HPi Performance Exhausts are 100% handmade in USA, TIG welded, and feature a perforated stainless muffler interior.  Each exhaust is available in stainless finish, black cerakote or an "Electro Dip" option that gives a chrome style look.   All sales on exhausts systems are final and cannot be returned under any circumstances as they are all custom made to order. 12 week *minimum* lead time, after 12 weeks, they go in the order they were placed, longer lead times can happen as well.
